Interestingly, for parents of children in the Los Angeles Unified School District, it's often not easy to figure out which school a child might attend because parents will often move to a particular area specifically to make sure their child goes to a particular school. The process of getting a child into the right school is leagues more difficult than showing up at the store each year to buy school supplies and sending the children off in a bus with their kids backpacks and new books for the school year. A lot of planning is usually required for such enrollment.
