There are some important things to remember when considering whether to buy a regular sized dog or a very small dog that will likely be labeled under the teacup puppies designation. For puppies that are especially small, special consideration must be had for the fact that the puppy might not actually be as fully developed as a regular sized puppy and while this isn't actually something that is usually a bad thing, it does warrant the suggestion that a puppy that is especially small should always have more attention at the veterinarian just to make sure all its tiny organs are developing right.
